We’re organising the team into three main sections.
Directors (the board) are a small group of volunteers willing to take legal responsibility for the organisation, its finances and governance, and make final decisions on strategy.
Our Advisory Panel is a larger group of volunteers with specific experience or expertise they are willing to use to help develop the project. If you are interested in being involved, this is probably where you would start at the moment.
We’re also setting up a Stakeholder Panel. This is a group of individuals representing organisations who support the project in principle, and might be willing to offer practical or professional help, advice, and to contribute to co-design and developing partnership proposals.
We are not at this stage recruiting general volunteers, which will come later. At the moment we’re looking for some specific skills on our Advisory Panel, and potentially our board, in the following areas:-
- Marketing and communications strategy
- Social media
- Graphic design and brand
- Partnership development, sponsorship, and contracts
- Grant applications
- Young people engagement
- Legal – property, organisational, contracts
- Governance – we’d especially be interested in anyone with knowledge of co-operative structures
- Business strategy, trading and income generation
